Missionary Monday

This will be a new feature on my blog. What can I say.
In his first letter Jordan told us that he had done some service. He got to clean the Lord's porcelain.
He goes to Idaho on Tuesday. I've already sent him two packages and the third is in the planning stage. I love the flat rate boxes. I've also sent lots of cards and letters. I want to start his shrine this week. I already have the bulletin board. I'm trying to keep myself distracted.

Love that kid!
Now that I know he's a pro at cleaning porcelain I will be putting him to work when he gets back...two years from now.

oh please please please do a missionary monday! i've considered doing it myself as a way to record some of my mission memories. but that would involve scanning my pictures and i'm too lazy for that. so i'll live vicariously through jordy-jor. pardon me, ELDER jordy-jor.

My mom did a really neat thing while my brother was on a mission. She made a binder with page protecters where she kept every one of his letters or tapes, etc. Each area had a different color. Really neat to look back on. Plus he loved to see everything when he got home as well.

service with a smile i presume. missionaries are so good at turning gross things into wonderful oppurtunities for growth. if only they could keep that optimism when they got home...

What a great idea to have a 'missionary monday'! I will look forward to it. I love that your blog has 'features'. Can't wait to see what else you come up with! (And I also love that we have the same van--great minds think alike!)

Good hard toilet cleaning is essential work for any good missionary!!! Sometimes I wonder about the state of missionaries apartments without their mothers around to clean up for them.
