I remember the depression when Jacob left for his mission. It did take a while. I truly think it's harder on the moms than it is the kids. The kids are kept so busy they don't have time to miss us! We, on the other hand, have all the time in the world to miss our boys! I'm already counting down the 2 1/2 years I have until Sam leaves. I miss him already!
I mourned for months when my son moved to Maui...yes, Maui! I cried so hard ALL 5 hours coming home that the flight attendants were worried about me. They couldn't have been sweeter. I couldn't go into his room for months. He was gone for 2 years.
I cried the whole 9 hours coming from from Arizona when we dropped off our daughter for college last summer. I was depressed for weeks and weeks...and guess what...we get to drop her off again this August! It's heartbreaking being a Mom! I feel for you and will keep you in my thoughts!
you definitely need a new pair - does it ever get hard to find one that isn't too much like ones you already have? (of course, i'm asking this after buying another pair of brown sandals with a wrapover and a peep toe - but they're totally different!)

Those shoes look comfy. I think you deserve a few great pairs of shoes for raising such a good boy!

Awhhhhh-
I guess black shoes ARE the appropriate choice for mourning the loss of your baby. But two years will fly by - I'm sure.
very cute. I think I need a pair.
