Fashion Friday

Today is the launch of the Frugly Fall Footwear Festival Freebie.
Did you watch Oprah this week? She did a shoe and handbag makeover show. It was fabulous.
I feel it is my duty to offer my services as the footwear fashion police. So here we go. It's easy, take a picture of your frugly (fr-freaking ugly) footwear. That's right I want to see your most frumpalicious shoes. The ones that make your feet look like a baked potato and give you cankles. Those with a private blog need not apply because how can I share the frugly? I'm still a bit sad that the person who won the traveling shoes contest has a private blog. I want to follow the fun. Oh well. It doesn't matter what size you are. There will be a fabulous prize. You know you want it. Send me your links by midnight Monday November 9th so I can pick a fashion loser I mean winner.

Here is a new formula too.
graphic tee + jeans + boots + boyfriend jacket I am enjoying this color combo of caramel, black and gray. It is a new one for me. I have noticed that much of my wardrobe is currently gray. Perhaps the reason for my fascination with having gray hair...

All the Tribal Ladies

Of course one costume is never enough for Halloween. These girls went all out creating their tribal lady outfits complete with braids and baskets.
They had people throw candy in their baskets.

Now I want to steal the silky, animal print caftan to wear around the house ala Mrs. Roper.

Shoesday

Are you familiar with the brand Royal Elastics? I have a soft spot for their cool athletic shoes. I call these my rainbow brights.
It was a little warm today and this was at noon.

Inside the cool house I can still show you how the streamlined athletic shoes can easily be worn with the fall formula.
embellished tee + cardi + jeans + cool sneaks

Peace out.

My short gray hair is meant to distract your attention from my jiggly triceps.

Missionary Monday

Elder Jordy is seeing a different side of Idaho. It is "crazy" for this city boy. He finds it all exciting...

"For example, the first guy I taught was missing a few teeth. The next guy I taught had just ripped his tooth out cuz it took him four months to get in with the dentist. This was the sixth one he ripped out by himself. I asked if he used pliers, and he said yes like it was no big deal. You gotta do what you gotta do I guess. Jerome is way different from anywhere I've been in my life."

and just so you know he has a spiritual side...

"I love this gospel. It makes me happy! Life is amazing."

This is where I wipe away a tear.

Shoesday

Let's imagine that it is a crisp cool autumn day instead of the 80 degrees we've been enduring.
A perfect time to pull out these grey and navy suede shoes.

Missionary Monday

Elder J was transferred to Jerome. He describes it best. "there's like a 7 to 1 cow to people ratio here, and it smells bad, like cows and dairy farms, but whatever. i guess we cover a town called hazelton. we get 1575 miles so it's the biggest area i've been in. and has the least amount of people. about 10,000 so that's 70,000 cows. Holy cow!"
