Shoesday

Teen toes. Kalen went home with the essential San Diego footwear. Everyone in my family has a pair. They are leather, can get wet and have arch support. They last forever. The only down side is that they require breaking in. I made Brynn break mine in for me. Alas, I can't wear them now...maybe next summer. Kalen was excited when he started to get the sweaty toe marks.

I have a rant about mandals. A mandal is any sandal with a buckle worn by a man. This type of footwear should be illegal. Flip-flops are acceptable. Only babies, toddlers and possibly pre-schoolers are exempt. Particularly heinous is the fisherman mandal. Please be advised. They hurt my eyes.

I guess I'm not familiar with the 'fisherman mandle'. Maybe you could post a pic for me. What I particularly hate (at the risk of offending someone...) is the crocs. I hate seeing some guy in a golf shirt, khaki shorts and orange (or blue, or yellow, or whatever) crocs. They think they are SO preppy/chic and they just look stupid. (or should I say 'stu'? I'm really hoping here that your guys don't wear these!!)

I agree about the crocs...what kind of flip flops are those leather ones? Can you buy them in Colorado? or do I need to visit SD?

Rainbow flip-flops. You better visit me to buy some.
I loathe crocs.
That is a picture of fisherman mandals.

Talk about self-esteem issues! First people bashing Facebook on Celia's blog. Now people bashing on Croc's, which I wear! Repeat to self 10 times, "I am a valuable person, I am a valuable person"

I found a pair of Raibows laying in the sand at the beach in San Clemente two summers ago and they fit Zachy's fat little feet perfectly.(it was getting dark and everyone had left, i did not steal them.) I was so excited. So I did come to Cali for my rainbows.
Yea mandals are lame. my dad wears them with socks. oh and he wears tevas with socks too it rules.

Jennie's dad must be from Idaho.

Dan has an old pair of doc martin sandals in the corner of our closet that I need to go throw out. I can't risk offending you or perhaps your son as he is Boise.

love the term mandles - seriously bad news! although they would go great with something robie wore a couple summers ago - the man-pri (that's right, capris). Luckily he is out of that phase for now. I need to get a good pair of rainbows, I love my cobians, but the black is a little old, i need some nice leather ones that will match everything, maybe I"ll go get some tomorrow :)

Kalen loves his new flip flips. Still trying to break them in. I how ever am a huge fan of the 'croc flops' as we call them here. I was not a huge fan of flipflops that is untill i purchased a pair of crocs. flip flops usually pinch between the toes and leave blisters but not these they are most compfy from the very begining they just mold to your feet. I love them!!! Don;t love the funky bright colors except for kids1
