Missionary Monday

Elder Jordy is seeing a different side of Idaho. It is "crazy" for this city boy. He finds it all exciting...

"For example, the first guy I taught was missing a few teeth. The next guy I taught had just ripped his tooth out cuz it took him four months to get in with the dentist. This was the sixth one he ripped out by himself. I asked if he used pliers, and he said yes like it was no big deal. You gotta do what you gotta do I guess. Jerome is way different from anywhere I've been in my life."

and just so you know he has a spiritual side...

"I love this gospel. It makes me happy! Life is amazing."

This is where I wipe away a tear.

i had a friend from boston who served in that same mission WAAAYYY back in like 1992. we wrote a lot while he was serving, and i'm kind of thinking now that the mission just has form letters for their elders to send out, because i got the same exact ones from him as you're getting from elder jord.

I can not wait to hear more stories like this full scale when he gets home. You just can't make stuff like this up.

Shally kills me...

Missions are amazing things...anyone cam meet people that do their own hair and nails...Elder Jordan is meeting people that do their own dentistry.

Awwww...I'd be wiping away tears, too. Such a good boy.

His experience in Jerome with the missing teeth people and pulling them out is new to me - and I'm FROM Idaho! I never expected it from Jerome; some other places but not Jerome.

Man, that is a quote they should post on their tourist brochures.

My friend's parents own a dairy farm in Jerome, the Kings! I don't know the parents, but my friends are awesome, so I bet ma and pa King are pretty awesome too.
