Missionary Monday

Elder Jordan had a farm... "We live on a farm. In a 3 story barn. We live on the top floor and it's 1000 degrees up there. I sweat myself to sleep everynight with just one sheet on my bed. It's insane. They have 3 dogs, a cat, roosters, chickens, a horse, and a tree swing. the last one isn't an animal , just thought i'd throw it in there. And a big turkey!"

THAT RIGHT THERE is exactly why I didn't go on a mission. And he's in Idaho! Not some third-world country.

Wow, that is totally roughing it! And he's in Idaho! There is nothing worse then trying to sleep when it is too hot.

I can't believe you left out the BEST part of his letter...the part about the books. I about lost it when I read that.

It's amazing some of the living conditions our missionaries live in, right here in the USA. Scott was in California and staying in a house with 4 cats and 3 dogs. There was cat urine all over, including one going on his luggage the first day he got there. He had to get rid of it.
But hey, it makes them stronger and appreciate home, right?

They need some AC up there. He really is having a third world experience...
