Fashion Friday

Let's talk about cardigans. This is not your mother's sweater, although I do own some fabulous vintage cashmere cardigans. Another post for another day. I am a recovering hoodie addict. Let's face it sometimes they look schlumpy. As a woman of mystery, I like to keep people guessing my identity. A hoodie screams suburban stay at home mom. Maybe I want to pretend like I'm a career woman, jet-setter or Posh Spice. So, with the same tank top and jeans I show you how I transform my look.
The picture doesn't do it justice. This cardi has a silver thread woven through the grey. I love a little sparkle for daytime to shake things up. It has pockets and a mid thigh length. It would be cute for a holiday party or grocery shopping, you know to play the mystery woman game.
My faux Lily Pulitzer cardi makes me smile with it's paisley pink, preppiness. It has the air of east coast country club. Ladies who lunch and plan charitable balls wear this kind of look.

My aubergine cardi has a trendy cut and great sleeves. I copied my young cute sister. She owns it in brown. It makes me feel hip and 37 instead of 47.
I still wear my hoodies but will be sporting cardigans this winter to switch it up. I want to look polished instead of schlumpy.

I used to have a great selection of cardigans - I was actually looking for something cute to wear the other day and remembered that I need to get some more (my other ones are all way too big, so I won't complain about that :)).. so cute!

Love that idea- and esp. the purple one!! Do you think the hoodie is still OK if it is expensive??

Who are your "leaders" she wants you to pass it onto??? Like, the bishop? The RS pres? Nice typo in a marketing thing, even WITH your annoying word verification.

I love the pink gray cardigan. I think cardigans are the perfect 3rd layer when a jacket won't work. You are a darling model! Thanks for the toy suggestion. I'm on my way to your toy post right now!

Oh, I like them all. I love cardigans, but during the week I seem to full into my uniform rut, jeans and a t-shirt because of peanut butter, partially digested breast milk, and sticky sugar.

Okay, I want to look as hip as a 47 year old. My 30 year old isn't cutting it.

One day I will wear things that aren't covered in spit up.
