It made it less painful for us and the only child to have our missionary away from home again.
We talked to Elder Jordan on the phone Christmas morning and it was the perfect start to a wonderful day. He was happy, chatty and funny. He loves missionary work. Elder J was with a family that was taking good care of him on Christmas. It's true that what comes around goes around.

i bumped into our missionaries at walmart 2 days before xmas. no one had invited them over for xmas dinner. i was appalled! so they joined us. poor little creatures.
You are the best missionary mama ever.
Those are some happy boys!
How awesome to have those missionaries for Christmas. We have to fight to get them for one meal a month.
Way to spread the love for the missionaries!
I love how you wrote about loving the ones you are with. You are clever...and a great missionary Mom! It really is true...there are two mommas somewhere in the world that are grateful that you took care of their boys.
Diane - How was Christmas without the missionary? I am sure you loved talking to him.
It looks like Sis baked quite a fun spread and your hair looks ultra fab!!!!
what a fun day for all! "love the one you are with" is the one song that always makes me laugh when I hear it (not that i hear the song that much, but you get the point.. ). I love the looks on all hte missionaries faces - just a brief moment of enjoying something for themselves after a LONG time of serving others..
You're a good Mama. I bet the parents of those two elders are really grateful someone took them in for Christmas. I was thinking about you on the 23rd, I hope your heart isn't aching too unbearably.
