Miss USA Controversy

Unless you live under a rock, you've heard of the controversy surrounding the Miss USA pageant. But wait, the story gets better. Miss North Carolina who was crowned on Sunday night was quoted on MSN, "It feels really natural," Dalton said of her win. "I've worked so hard to be here and this has been my lifelong dream and it's finally here. And whoever knew you could win in a turquoise gown?"
Four of the top five wore white gowns...and I thought I was shallow.
Another brilliant woman to represent our country.

I must be living under a rock. I know nothing about Miss USA. What controversy??

Have I told you I'm friends with a former contestant? I have to cut the snark.

She may be shallow, but she's very PC. Isn't that all that matters in the world today?! (note serious sarcasm).

Now, if she had brown hair and still won... that would be a real controversy!

joining the ranks of the shallow, can i just say that i have been trying to figure out how to style my hair like that for a whole year now.
any tips?

Yeah...I wonder if she would have won if she had been given the same exact question and answered it honestly.

I am googling the controversy now. Why do they even ask these women to speak? We know they aren't being judged on their brawn, just their beauty.

Apparently I've been living under a rock because I hadn't heard of any controversy. Beauty pageants scare me. In a serious way.

Under a rock here also.

I had no idea.

Dora and Diego never talk about important things... :)

I love the face on the brilliant one.

There is ALWAYS drama with pageants!

I was proud of Miss Cali! Way to represent San Diego!

I saw an interview with Miss Cali and she is sticking by her guns and said she would say it again. I am so proud of her.

Perez Hilton is a hate-monger.

Oh, I didn't know about the contraversy either.

I'm impressed she that she stuck to her guns. Why is it if we believe marriage is for a man and a woman that we are immediately labeled as homophobic? It is an "either you are with us or against us" mentality. Hilton deliberately set her up- he knows that pageant contestants run religious.

Also under a rock. Thanks for keeping me informed, Di!!

I did think that was crazy - did you see them all in their swimsuits - holy cow, they looked great, but seriously california and the winner look almost exactly the same (too bad she had an opinion)

Under a rock, in a cave and completely clueless. What did she say?
