Hot Prowl

There has been a home invasion in my neighborhood.
The place was ransacked and destroyed leaving the family homeless...

They are determined to rebuild.
Talk about your empty nest.

I'm glad that they are rebuilding. It sounds like they are very resilient! At least it was an empty nest with no little ones/eggs in it!

It's a little lesson to us empty-nesters. With imagination we can pick up the pieces and build a different nest that will work in our new circumstances. (A little wisdom from an old bird.)

Awwww! Was that in your backyard? Stupid wild animals. Stay in the canyon.

Ok, coming from a family with 3 hunting cats my first thought was, "good for them". I guess I'm looking at it all wrong. Ha! (But secretly I hope it was a little kitty who was keeping true to his little instincts). :)

I'm assuming that is a bird's nest? Animals will be animals I guess.

I love the dramatic flair you used to write about it.

Love your wit!

Oh how sad! I hope they are able to rebuild soon!

so funny (probably not as funny for the birds, but hey)... this didn't have anything to do with the economy did it?

That would have been an exciting event at my house. There is an obsession with bird nests over here.

Now did you knock down the nest?

Oh wait, that is Andrea.

Too many blogs. I hope the birds stay away from our house. Our neighbor has some dive bombing swallows nesting on his front porch.

So sad :( Bring them over here. Chad has pretty much turned our backyard into a bird sanctuary. He made a bird bath and bought a huge bag of bird seed. No joke...he goes out and feeds them in the mornings.

Leave some dryer lint out. Comfy for the baby birds.
