I think because they remind me of my preppy days of penny loafers and tassel loafers.
Even better if they are bronze metallic...

My favorite loafers were the red ones I had in the 80's. These bronze babies take a close second.

I'm so preppy too and I L-O-V-E loafers. I used to think it was not cool for a 20-30something to wear them, but I've given that up. Loafers are just my vibe. and for the record - I have NEVER EVER EVER worn a clog on my foot. so that suits my vibe too.
And anyone who quotes, "shut up" is a WNTW fan and is near and dear to my heart.

Love the color, but honestly I am not a fan of loafers. I don't think they look right on me is all. Cute on everyone else, just not me.
