Missionary Cousins
Elder Jordan has a cousin on a mission.
As Elder J has experienced his first white Christmas... Elder Alden is having his first hot winter serving in Manaus Brazil.
He is from Minnesota. While Elder J is living in comfortable homes...
Elder A is longing for a toilet seat.
Elder J is speaking Idahoan and Elder A is learning portuguese.
E. Alden has a native Brazilian as his companion so he will be fluent in no time.
These missionary cousins are having vastly different experiences with the same results.

Is this your sister's son? Sounds like he's in for a grand adventure!!
i love that i feel proud of them. just further testament that the gospel is so true.
I love those boys! How awesome is it that our family has TWO missionaries out right now?!?!?
So true the saying, "Leave a boy, return a man". Did they teach Idahoan in the MTC or do you have to pick it up solely in the field?
how fun is that! it's cool they are in such different locals- i'm sure it leaves quite a bit to write about!
I'm like Andrea. I feel strangely patriotic or something. My nephew goes in to the MTC in 2 days! Headed to St. Louis, MO.
My bro served in Sao Paulo. He still speaks Portuguese and says it has come in handy at times! What a wonderful experience for both boys!
