Missionary Monday

Elder Jeffery Holland visited Boise recently. This is how Jordan described his experience. "It was amazing. One of the best experiences of my life being up close and personal with an apostle of the Lord for 2 hours!. We got to shake his hand too! Elder Holland was totally cracking jokes for the first 5 minutes."

I sent Elder Jordan a new sweater to help keep him warm. My boy knows how I feel about style so this is his fashion report.

"The sweater is awesome and very stylish. Oh mom, I thought you might like to know that Elder Holland was wearing an all pink tie on Sunday. It was sweet!"

I'm glad you sent him a sweater...he looks awfully cold in that snow picture! That's so cool that he got to meet Elder Holland!

Isn't it the best when your kids "get you". I love his fashion report on the tie! ha!

Too funny. What a great son! Spiritual and fashion conscience, two good qualities in a young man!

I agree with Khandrea...these posts remind me of my own mission and help me realize I need to be and do better.

I so love that he gave you a fashion report.

I love that he reported on the color of Elder HOlland's tie! He's definitely your son. :)

I want to see a pic of him IN the sweater. Does Jordy already have a pink tie? If not, we need to hook him up.

What is cool about his noting Elder Holland's tie is that you know he said to myself, "I need to tell my mom about this."

It's good to know that your boy is thinking of you, huh?

Love Elder Holland--he's one of my all time favorites! (My husband calls him the Fred Flintstone of the 12. Whatever.) Time to send Elder Jordy a pink tie, I think :)

Elder Holland has been the nicest GA I've served. I like that picture of Jordan. He looks happy in the snow.

that was my favorite part of his letter when he talked about the pink tie - it just made me think of his connection to you!

Elder Holland visited my brother's mission years ago and really gave them a "talking to"...so if he is cracking jokes, it is a good sign!
