Movin On Up...

...Upstairs They started construction on the elevator last week
There will be doors where those windows are now
This was the noisy part, busting up the stucco
Today they framed the elevator shaft. I'm getting really excited. I haven't been upstairs since June 2007. It's getting close. Brynn, you better clean your room.

Wow, an elevator!! That sounds like an 'Extreme Home Makeover' thing! How exciting! (Though I think I'd be a little scared having not been up there in so long)

now, that's cool - while you're in the ripping out the side of your house mode you should install a dumbwaiter and a laundry shoot too!

Wow, I didn't realize your leg was that bad that you couldn't go up the stairs. So sorry! How cool to have an elevator in your house!!!

Sorry to hear you haven't been able to climb your stairs. Happy for you that you get an elevator!

My dad's house has an elevator because his wife's mother lives in their mother-in-law suite and needs it. Whenever my kids are there visiting they get the biggest kick out of it. It's like an amusement park ride for them.

That's AWESOME. Your kids will be able to brag that they have the only house on the block with an elevator. Aren't they lucky.

I'm so mad Melissa commented first because my kids will seriously want to come play in the elevator (mostly just pushing the buttons and watching the door open and close :)) I'm so excited for you - hopefully the loud banging has stopped at least during nap time :)
