Fashion Friday

Migraine Style
I can't take the preventive meds. I do take migraine meds.
I get Botox for the headaches.
Wrinkle reduction is a bonus.
Now, I'm going to lie down...in a dark, quiet room.

Making Progress

This is a view of where the door will go.
It used to have this window. This is a view from inside the tower.
They have wrapped the tower in black paper and chicken wire.
It's all ready to get stucco.
Jordan asked if it is a Willy Wonka elevator that will go through the roof.
If it's done by Halloween I'll call it the tower of terror.
A year ago I redecorated my master bedroom sight unseen, except for pictures.
I have a new king size bed I've never slept in.
It won't be long now.

More Dress Drama

This one fits perfectly but it needs sleeves. I'm wearing a t-shirt underneath.
This one is totally modest and comfortable. It doesn't photograph well.

This one is a bit short and there is the whole tank top issue...finding one that works with the dress.

This is how it looks when it's been pressed.
This one is on it's way. My Sis said it's a little Amish. I hope it is retro cool.
Basically, I've got nothing.
The dark grey and black one from last week is too scandalous.
The search continues.

Dress Drama

Let's pretend like she's 47.
They look great on the models. We'll see how they translate into my real life.
I need a siver dress. There are many shades of silver. This one is technically grey. Ummm, I would never wear those hideous shooties.

I wish I could be the project on The Rachel Zoe Project. She could dress me for the wedding. Have you seen this show? My favorite quote of the night, "When I lay down, do I have less wrinkles? You know, cause I'm down. Maybe I should just meet people laying down."

Since I don't have a personal stylist I've ordered these dresses to try. Stay tuned as my dress drama unfolds.
In memory of Jeni's Wednesday wedding posts.

Missionary Monday

Jordan said this is a picture of his backyard, the Snake River. Jordan and his companion Elder Boyes won the clean car award at zone conference. They got pens with orange ink because orange is President Yardley's favorite color. Apparently the mission President is famous for wearing orange ties. We are rather surprised by the award for cleanliness. Maybe this means he is cleaning his room...I'll try not to get my hopes up.

It probably comes as no surprise that I love handbags nearly as much as shoes. This is my new fall bag.

Movin On Up...

...Upstairs They started construction on the elevator last week
There will be doors where those windows are now
This was the noisy part, busting up the stucco
Today they framed the elevator shaft. I'm getting really excited. I haven't been upstairs since June 2007. It's getting close. Brynn, you better clean your room.

Friendship or Virus

Amish friendship bread
starter

worth the effort

I'm not sure why this is called friendship bread. It's more like a chain letter or virus. Someone gives it to you and then you pass it along.
The starter is like having a pet. You have to take care of it and feed it. It is high maintenance.
Brynn was very attentive to the starter. She's never had a pet.
I supervised while Jenni and Brynn baked the bread. I was the Little Red Hen. "Who will help me bake this bread?"
It was totally worth the effort...the girl's effort.
You might want to avoid me for awhile. I'm still contagious. If you are interested in spreading this pandemic to your "friends" and neighbors, give me a call. It might be a good way to break up with toxic friends and torment your B and C list friends... you know, the ones that bug. I'm just saying.
Next time, I just want the fresh baked loaf of bread please. Keep your virus to yourself.
