Fifteen Again

I feel like I'm 15 again.
I've been studying for finals.
I can't wait to drive.
I got some new accessories... I'll be practicing my closed mouth smile.

For thirteen months I've been faithfully wearing my Invisalign trays. In his pursuit of perfection my orthodontist suggested...
braces on the top front teeth for 12 weeks.
Since I've come this far I figured I might as well go for the perfect smile.
I also will be able to enjoy the flat screen TVs that have been installed recently at each chair. I'm sure we funded at least a couple of those.

The difference between 15 and 47 is that...
I don't have to take finals.
I have a nice car and driver.
I have better accessories.
Braces don't hurt after giving birth to three children.
I do wonder how they will look with grey hair.

Look at your beautiful teeth! 12 weeks with braces is definitely doable. Much better than 12 months.

that's so sweet - 12 weeks is nothing! I think the gray will coordinate well with the silver metal - good thing you don't have to do gold or something :)

12 weeks will be a walk in the park!

I think you have very nice teeth! But 12 weeks shouldn't be too bad. I'm also glad to know that the invisalign works!

What beautiful teeth! 12 weeks will be a walk in the park. They look so bright and white too.

you are so brave. i wanted braces back in the day, but i don't know if i could talk myself in to it now. but 12 weeks sounds pretty good to me! if only all smiles could be fixed in 12 weeks...

i've been meaning to ask you how the whole "going gray naturally" thing is coming along. i can't see it yet.

the other plus of 47: you will never get your braces locked while making out with another braces-wearer.

it happened to me, and i have even told my kids as a sort of deterrent to making out.

I love it...after giving birth braces are nothing...well said.

I am so glad I got to catch up on all of your wonderful posts. I have missed reading you.

I thought of you when I was in the hospital...and I had purple and black and blue bruises kind of like yours from them taking blood and giving me IV's. Thank you so much for the books and blog love and kind comments and generosity. You are wonderful!

Those braces look better than any I ever had (twice- I'm the poster child for wearing a retainer!)

Cute! I need to start wearing my retainer, otherwise, I might be wearing braces when I'm 47!

You already are a rock star. Way to one-up your own bad self.

Another big difference is you no longer think that everyone is talking about you (but in your case...they are because you have such a great smile!).

I love that...yes, braces don't hurt after giving birth to three children. So true. And 12 weeks??! Seriously. YOu are lucky. I have years ahead of me sister.

It's not fair that you'll have your braces off before ME! Plus I thinks yours are cuter.

We're almost twins!
